Jason + Sarah marked the first wedding of the year for us and what a perfect summer day it was. They chose to have their ceremony and reception up on the tippy top of the Gold Coast at the Providence Farm Hall and the views were spectacular!
They began the day in their separate Air Bnb’s up in Beechmont where Husband to be, Jason, diligently did the early morning coffee run and delivered it to the girls.
We met the boys first who were pretty dang organised and seemed to float through the preparations in a very chilled way. Jason showed us their incredible wedding rings which are so uniquely them. He, being quite the artist, had sketched this gorgeous line art of a heart and had it engraved onto his ring. Sarah’s ring was simple, elegant but unlike any I have seen before. They honestly blew me away. After all, your rings are the mark, the remembrance of one of your greatest days and the effort and detail these two put into their crafting was stunningly appropriate. You didnt lose the rings Jas… first husband duties gets a big TICK.
The girls were much the same when we arrived. Although bridal preps are always the hive of activity, these girls were super relaxed. Sipping their wine and nibbling cheese they slowly assembled their final wedding look. As soon as we walked through the door, the emotions began to hit Sarah. There is always that one moment on your wedding day when you realise that you are actually getting married and for Sarah it was when Nath and I arrived.
The girls got ready in a gorgeous old chapel turn Air BnB and its small unique frame made for beautifully lit patches and moody rooms where the light filtered softly through the loft’s one window.
They held their ceremony on the lawn next to the Farm Hall overlooking the hinterland to the ocean. What a peace filled and stunning spot.
Their guests enjoyed an afternoon tea grazing table while we were off taking portraits, but I did manage to sneak a cheeky doughnut in before heading off!
